From 5 to 7 October, ESCWA co-organized the 4th Arab Digital Content Forum, hosted by the Ministry of Transportation and Communication in Qatar and held under the auspices of the League of Arab States.
The Forum was attended by over 300 online participants and addressed the future of Arabic content on the Internet, its development and challenges. Discussions tackled the importance of such content for information accessibility during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.
ESCWA held a session on “Digital Arabic Content and Entrepreneurship among Youth”, where opportunities for innovation and business entrepreneurship to develop digital Arabic content were discussed, as well as the role of Governments in setting the required strategic framework and enabling environment.
