On 20 and 21 September, ESCWA virtually held the 13th session of its Committee on Energy to monitor progress achieved by member States in the energy field and to set regional energy-related priorities for the coming years.
ESCWA focused on its support to member States and on taking rational measures to address climate change for sustainable development by bolstering national capacities through studies and projects.
In parallel, ESCWA participated in the High-level Dialogue on Energy and relevant side events that took place from 22 to 24 September, reiterating the global call for an inclusive and just energy transition to ensure a sustainable environment for the future generations.
