On 25 and 26 May, ESCWA and UNCTADorganized a regional workshop on “E-Customs at the Heart of Trade Facilitation”, to introduce the best practices for using the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) to facilitate trade in different countries, as well as lessons learned while using the system.
The workshop shed light on the ASYCUDA functions and tools to facilitate trade across the world. The use of advanced technologies was also tackled.
Presentations and discussions led by UNCTAD and ESCWA experts enabled participants to gain a better understanding of the role of customs in trade facilitation.
