Given the increase in electronic business and commercial activities during COVID-19, and based on the need to regulate them, ESCWA organized a virtual workshop on e-commerce development in Palestine, in cooperation with the Ministry of National Economy.
ESCWA shed light on the importance of building electronic commerce bridges in the Arab region and reviewed some regional and international experiences in the field of regulating and developing e-commerce, while addressing the catalysts of its growth and the impact of new technologies on it.
ESCWA also called for the development of a national strategy to support the e-commerce sector, and the workshop concluded with the submission of proposals to strengthen this sector on the national level.
