Given the importance of digital transformation and its potential impact on national development in general, and in the railway field in particular, ESCWA, in partnership with the National Railways Authority (NRA), organized on 5 June a workshop on digital transformation in railways in the Sudan.
The workshop delved into the basic concepts of digital transformation and discussed selected digital applications used to enhance user experience and improve the safety and efficiency of rail transportation systems.
The workshop also addressed the current plans and initiatives of the Authority in digital transformation and the future steps to be taken in the Sudan to prepare its roadmap.
