On 16 December, ESCWA, at the invitation of Al-Quds Open University in Palestine, gave a virtual lecture on digital transformation in the Arab region.
The lecture focused on the status of digital transformation in terms of policies and indicators. ESCWA highlighted a few examples of digital transformation from Arab countries and emphasized the importance of developing a national policy to accelerate such transformation.
Earlier this year, ESCWA had reviewed the State of Palestine’s national policy for the Internet of Things, and prepared a study on its readiness for big data use to support the country on its path towards digital transformation.
