In the framework of technical cooperation provided by ESCWA to Libya in preparing a digital development agenda for the country, the Regional Commission and the General Information Authority (GIA) held a hybrid consultative workshop in Tripoli to introduce the proposed agenda to the main stakeholders.
Representatives of public and private sectors, including educational and academic institutions, who are involved in the development and implementation of the country’s digital agenda, gave their feedback on the proposed agenda and discussed its key focus areas.
The workshop emphasized the need to develop sector-specific action plans, enhance digital skills to successfully execute the agenda, and to strengthen and update the digital technologies’ legal frameworks to meet the evolving demands of digitization.
