On 28 November, ESCWA Executive Secretary Rola Dashti, Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Al-Bukhari and Secretary-General of the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO Hiba Nashabeh visited the School and Monastery of Our Lady of Machmousheh in Jezzine, one of the schools participating in the ESCWA Stories project.
The visit included the distribution of school bags to students provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre and within the framework of the "Decent Living" initiative implemented by ESCWA and the Saudi Embassy in Lebanon since August.
This initiative is part of several projects to be implemented by ESCWA and the embassy, consolidating their commitment to implement development projects in Lebanon and the Arab region.
