To help decision makers identify policies that promote economic growth, ESCWA and the Emirati Ministry of Economy organized a workshop on Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) modelling for the country.
From 14 to 16 November, experts from the Ministries of Finance, Economy, and Central Statistics discussed the preliminary model developed by ESCWA and agreed on certain conclusions that will contribute to the refinement of the final version.
The CGE model is a useful tool for policy analysts, enabling them to analyse the economy, predict its future trends, and assess the repercussions of various policies.
