From 2 to 4 November, ESCWA organized two consecutive meetings to provide comprehensive health insurance for all segments of society, and to expand social insurance coverage in the informal sector.
The two meetings aimed to highlight reforms and policies to provide social insurance coverage for non-covered groups, and allowed participants to discuss ways to include informal workers.
The seventh meeting of the expert group on reforming social protection systems in Arab countries was also held on the sidelines of those events.
