On the sidelines of the 2023 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development held in New York, ESCWA organized two side events on 14 July on urban development and how Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) localization can build urban resilience in times of crises.
ESCWA Executive Secretary Rola Dashti stressed the need to build capacities for sustainable urban solutions ensuring that the cities, the engines of our economies, are geared towards achieving the SDGs.
Participants in both events highlighted the importance of regional and global cooperation in promoting urban resilience.
