In response to the need for recovery, building resilience and strengthening local, national, and regional dialogues, ESCWA and the UN-Habitat Regional Office for Arab States organized on 21 April a regional webinar on “Building Urban Economic Resilience and the Role of Smart Sustainable Cities and Smart Digital Solutions in the Arab Region”.
The webinar brought together stakeholders and government officials from the region to discuss important factors in building urban economic resilience, and share lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The webinar also highlighted key areas of priorities for different cities across the region, and showcased ways to build urban economic resilience in each city based on their specific needs and vision.
