Within the framework of technical assistance provided to member States, ESCWA and the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion in Tunisia organized a national training workshop on the Arab Trade Simulation Interface (ATSI) in Tunisia.
The workshop, held between 15 and 17 November, involved training national trade policymakers to build alternative trade policy scenarios using the ATSI, and analyse the obtained outcomes. Users were also able to evaluate different scenarios for trade in goods, and to assess potential global trade shocks.
ATSI is a tool developed by ESCWA allowing users to perform trade simulations, and assess the impacts of alternative trade agreement scenarios on national economies.
