To address key regional challenges of land administration and the protection of housing, land and property rights, ESCWA, UN-Habitat, LAS, GLTN and BMZ organized the Arab Land Initiative reference group meeting in Cairo.
The meeting, held on 29 and 30 May, brought together experts to discuss key trends, challenges and opportunities in land governance across the Arab region and to highlight the initiative’s achievements from 2018 to 2022.
The meeting also consolidated a shared vision for future land governance improvements and discussed planned key streams of work and potential collaborations.
