On 25 June, and to promote human development in the Arab region, ESCWA organized an expert group meeting on the “Arab Development Challenges” report at the UN-House in Beirut.
Leading regional experts discussed the methodology, structure and analysis of initial findings and statistical results of the report.
Participants also tackled a variety of themes, namely conflict-development nexus, development challenges in Arab countries, development inequalities in the region, structural transformation challenges and political economy.
