On 10 and 11 January, the ESCWA Committee on Transport and Logistics held its 24th session to review relevant developments in Arab countries since its previous session.
The committee, held in Cairo, discussed several important topics in the field of transportation, including ways to finance road safety, the development of sustainable transportation, and the options and opportunities offered by the development of land electric mobility in the region.
The Transport and Logistics Committee serves as a platform to advance regional integration and facilitate the flow of goods and passenger transport among countries and regions. It participates in setting priorities for ESCWA and member States in this field and monitors ongoing developments and progress.
