As part of a training programme in Jordan, organized in the framework of the Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND), ESCWA is organizing a capacity-building workshop for a group of engineers and practitioners in the Jordan Engineers Association, Salt branch. The workshop is aimed at introducing engineers to the concept of renewable energy and its role as an enabler of sustainable development, rural development and women’s empowerment, and at discussing the water-energy-food nexus.
