As part of a training programme in Jordan, organized in the framework of the Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND), ESCWA is organizing a capacity-building workshop for students at the Engineers Academy for Training and Development in Amman. The workshop is aimed at introducing students to the concept of renewable energy and its role as an enabler of sustainable development, rural development and women’s empowerment, and at discussing the water-energy-food nexus.
