As in every year, ESCWA observed the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People to raise awareness about the plight of the Palestinian people and mobilize support to attain their inalienable rights. In this context, on 1 December 2020, two events were held for the 2020 observance:

- Statement of ESCWA, Mr. Mounir Tabet, Deputy Executive Secretary
- Statement of the State of Palestine, Dr. Riad al- Maliki, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates
- Statement of Lebanon, Dr. Ramzi Mecharfieh, Minister of Social affairs and Minister of Tourism
- Presentation on Israeli policies and their social and economic impact in the occupied Palestinian territory, Mr. Tarik Alami, ESCWA
- A joint webinar with the Palestinian Policy Network (al-Shabaka) on Palestinians and International Aid: Occupation, Change and Solidarity
