List of ESCWA Events During MENACW2023

ESCWA is collaborating with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change secretariat (UNFCCC), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Bank Group, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and the League of Arab States Secretariat (LAS), to organize the MENA Climate Week (MENACW) 2023.

MENACW 2023 and other regional climate weeks provide a platform for policymakers, practitioners, businesses and civil society to discuss climate solutions, barriers and opportunities in different regions.

MENACW 2023 follows four major tracks with a view to providing region-focused contributions that inform global stocktake:

  • Energy systems and industry
  • Cities, urban and rural settlements, infrastructure and transport
  • Land, ocean, food and water
  • Societies, health, livelihoods and economies
