In the framework of inter-regional cooperation on the implementation of the New Urban Agenda, ESCWA and UN-Habitat are organizing a workshop to outline the implementation plan of the project on "Fostering COVID-19 recovery and SDG implementation through local action in Asia-Pacific, Arab and African countries", which focuses on supporting localization efforts in nine cities across three regions.
The workshop specifically addresses the project's plan for Ramallah (State of Palestine) and Irbid (Jordan) in the Arab region. ESCWA and UN-Habitat are introducing tools and methodologies, including the Urban Monitoring Framework (UMF) and Voluntary Local Reviews (VLRs), to guide project implementation. The event is aimed at training partners, discussing implementation methods, and establishing timelines to meet project objectives.
