To facilitate evidence-based policymaking and monitor the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at local, national, and regional levels, ESCWA, the United Nations Statistics Division and the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics held a regional workshop on ways to benefit from time-use statistics.
The workshop, which took place from 10 to 12 October in Tunisia, aimed to develop national capacities to collect and produce comparable, high-quality time-use data in a cost-effective manner, using innovative and digitalized data collection methods.
Participants also learned how data analysis could inform and answer policy questions, and got a better understanding of the progress made towards achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
