Given the growing importance of digital trade worldwide, it’s crucial to address the specific challenges faced by the Arab region and to comprehend its strategies for developing international digital trade statistics.
In line with those objectives, ESCWA, in collaboration with the Arab Monetary Fund, WTO, UNCTAD, OECD, and UNSD, conducted a regional workshop on measuring digital trade for Arab countries.
The workshop, held from 20 to 23 November in Abu Dhabi, focused on enhancing capabilities in this evolving statistical field, providing participants with practical training on various methods for measuring digital trade.
