As part of Cairo Water Week, ESCWA and the Arab Centre for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands organized a workshop on improved groundwater management in the Arab region.
The workshop, held on 30 and 31 October in Cairo, unveiled advancements in the Arab Groundwater Knowledge Platform and discussed inputs from national focal points on ways to make the platform publicly accessible. Discussions also delved into the forthcoming update of the hydrogeological map for the region.
In addition, participants were introduced to the latest innovations in water technologies, geospatial analysis, and remote sensing tools designed for monitoring, managing and reporting on limited water resources.
