On the sidelines of the International Conference on Renewable Energies for Developing Countries (REDEC), ESCWA organized two workshops in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon, in partnership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Lebanese Association for Energy Saving and for Environment (ALMEE).
The first workshop on 5 July highlighted the important links between sustainable energy, gender equality, rural development, and women and youth empowerment.
The second one on 6 July tackled the role of blockchain technology in facilitating a sustainable energy transition in the Arab region that is just and inclusive.
