Building on the momentum from the recent UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS+2) Stocktaking Moment held in Rome in 2023, ESCWA and the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub organized the second regional meeting for national food systems transformation convenors.
Held on 6 March, the meeting provided a platform for member countries to share their progress and identify strategies for aligning food systems transformation with existing climate action initiatives. Discussions focused on achieving a more sustainable and resilient food system through complementary and reinforced efforts.
Key outcomes from the meeting were presented at the session on "Food for Thought" during the 2024 Arab Forum on Sustainable Development (AFSD).
