The data and analyses provided on the damages to health and education sectors illustrate the severity of the aggression on the Gazan population. Therefore, ESCWA organized an event on "The Impact of War on Access to Healthcare and Education in Gaza" on the sidelines of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). This event was held in collaboration with the Permanent Observer Mission of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, SDSN, SDGs Today, and the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics.
ESCWA also participated in several events, notably one on SDG Localization in Tunisia, showcasing Tunisia’s experience and approaches in this regard.
In addition, ESCWA coordinated the submission of the Arab region’s key messages to the HLPF, emanating from the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development (AFSD). The key messages were presented by Omani Minister of Economy Said Al Saqri, Chair of AFSD.
