To promote sustainable economic policies and bolster social and economic development, ESCWA conducted a regional meeting in Amman on 6 and 7 December, which focused on the impact of price fluctuations on socioeconomic indicators and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During the meeting, participants delved into the forthcoming Purchasing Power Parities results by ESCWA, recognized as valuable indicators for economic analysis and monitoring of economic developments.
Attendees were also briefed on novel data sources and alternative data collection methods and discussed the importance of harmonizing and developing reliable price indices.
