Given weather fluctuations in the Arab region, evaluating countries’ climate finance needs has become necessary to ensure water, energy and food security.
Therefore on 20 June, ESCWA held a meeting for member State representatives on “Advancing climate action in water and energy”, where participants discussed progress and challenges in advancing and mainstreaming climate action namely in those two sectors.
The meeting discussed regional and national priorities moving forward, with the approach of the second Middle East and North Africa Climate Week and the Conference of the Parties (COP) 28.
