On 7 April, ESCWA Executive Secretary Rola Dashti participated in a high-level dialogue organized by “Sustainable Energy for All”, an international organization that works with the UN, leaders in government, the private sector and civil society to drive further and faster action worldwide towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 7 on affordable and clean energy.
During the dialogue, Dashti highlighted the support provided by ESCWA to its member States for achieving sustainable energy by 2030 and implementing the Paris Agreement.
Dashti also underlined the contribution of women in ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all, especially in a region that suffers from protracted conflict.
