ESCWA is convening consultations to foster a dialogue among representatives of various governmental entities and international organizations that are providing budgetary and extra-budgetary support to social spending in Yemen. The objectives of the consultations are to:
- Discuss the concept of Social Expenditure Monitor (SEM), its methodology and different dimensions and indicators to tailor it to Yemen’s context.
- Consult with representatives from governmental entities and international agencies on data availability and mechanisms of compiling data for Yemen's SEM,
- Agree on the way forward.
