In line with ESCWA’s Strategy on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which includes the delivery of technical cooperation activities that can facilitate the effective translation of sustainable development policies into concrete action at the national level, and consistent with its efforts to promote the environmental component of the 2030 Agenda in its member countries, ESCWA is organizing a seminar for Palestinian officials on Means of Implementing the Environmental Dimension of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Palestine. This seminar is based on a request received by ESCWA from the Environment Quality Authority of Palestine, whereby asking for ESCWA’s technical support on the subject.
The Seminar will target members of the Palestinian technical task force responsible for coordinating the implementation of environmentally-related SDGs, which is led by the Environment Quality Authority of Palestine, and includes members from various relevant Palestinian entities. The Seminar is expected to strengthen participants’ capacity on approaches for implementing the environmental dimension of the 2030 Agenda in Palestine, and on aligning national development plans with related Sustainable Development Goals.
