ESCWA is supporting the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade in developing a short-term economic recovery plan to meet the urgent needs of the Lebanese economy.
To discuss the first draft of the plan and agree on the next steps, ESCWA is organizing a meeting with Minister of Economy and Trade of Lebanon, Amin Salam. The plan is being developed through a phasal approach suggested by ESCWA, based on the Minister’s substantive comments. It focuses on priority sectors identified as essential to Lebanon’s development needs, including curbing the brain drain.
