During the 29th Conference of the Parties (Cop 29), the Climate Change and Natural Resource Sustainability Cluster at ESCWA is co-organizing, leading and participating in numerous initiatives and activities across several side events in different pavilions. ESCWA is also supporting discussions focused on enhancing regional cooperation for climate action, and addressing challenges and solutions across water, agriculture, urban resilience, and energy transition.

Listed below are events that ESCWA is organizing and specifically contributing to, in key thematic areas such as water, food, energy, climate change adaptation, and environmental resilience.

ESCWA events: 

  1. Regional Reflections on Watering NDCs and NAPS – Conveners: ESCWA and WaterAid in collaboration with AquaFed, CCDB, FAO, FWP, IWMI, Resilient40, RDI, SIWI, TNC, UNICEF, UN-Habitat/GWOPA and Wetlands International – 14 November: 9:30 – 11:30 – Water for Climate Pavilion (F10B).
