The aim of this workshop is to build the capacity of the Arab team members to integrate gender issues in sustainable development targets to 2030 on the Manual on ' The global objectives on gender equality ' which shows the relationship and interdependence of both the sustainable development goals and the Beijing Platform for action. The workshop also aims to determine the technical and strategic requirements for the effective implementation of the sustainable development agenda at national and regional levels through discussing the outline of an analytical study on the efforts and needs of Member States to apply goal number 5, on gender equality and women's empowerment, in the sustainable development plan for 2030.
