Within the framework of the Regional Initiative to Promote Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND), ESCWA is conducting a series of capacity-building workshops for rural women in Chorbane on the topics of renewable energy, good agricultural practices, rural development, women empowerment, water-energy-food nexus, and fertilization through irrigation.
The workshops are organized in collaboration with the National Agency for Energy Conservation, the General Commission for Regional Development, and the Municipality and Delegation of Chorbane.
