Background
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development calls for collaborative partnerships and the engagement of all stakeholder groups in the implementation, follow-up and review processes. Joining forces and strengthening ownership is the way forward towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The 2030 Agenda calls for “multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilize and share knowledge, expertise, technology and financial resources, to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in all countries, in particular developing countries”.
ESCWA is at the forefront of engaging regional stakeholders in supporting the implementation, follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda. ESCWA capitalizes on partnerships with international and regional organziations in implementing relevant activities.
