Manual for building capacity of trainers on the design and implementation of equality-based policies in Arab countries

During the past 30 years, income inequalities have become more pronounced due to the unequal distribution of income gains, which has threatened social and economic development and growth, and thwarted efforts to reduce poverty. Inequality not only affects income, but also the distribution of opportunities, leading to differences in outcomes and contributing to social, economic and political instability. To address these disparities, existing policies, plans and programmes must be reviewed and amended. Public equality-based policies and programmes aimed at achieving social justice must be formulated.
This manual is a tool for training stakeholders on the development of equality-based public policies and programmes. It aims at enhancing the technical and functional capacities and basic skills that trainers must have, and targets a specific group of experts and employees in ministries and public government institutions, and representatives of civil society organizations and NGOs who participated in the workshops and training courses.
