Food system inefficiencies in the Arab region are rooted in unequal access to scarce resources, structural barriers to unfettered participation of small-scale producers, and exclusionary policies. Addressing food insecurity can only be done through a commitment to upholding the right to food, food justice and food sovereignty (R2F-FJ-FS) nexus.
