December 2020

This study examines the tangible impact of the integration agreements with Arab countries and the European Union on the Lebanese economy, as well as the reasons behind their relatively poor outcomes.

It presents and discusses the scope and limitations of the two agreements, and explores their likely impact in depth. This paper goes beyond economic assessments and sheds light on the reasons behind the country’s weak export promotion and economic development.
