The development of a cybersecurity plan is crucial for benefiting from digital applications and reaping their benefits for socioeconomic development. Updating, completing and enacting the appropriate legal framework for cybersecurity are also key to protecting individuals and institutions.
On 4 April, ESCWA participated in a virtual meeting on cybersecurity in the Sudan, organized by the National Information Center (NIC), and presented on best regional and international practices related to cybersecurity strategies.
ESCWA highlighted the main challenges and expected impact of national cybersecurity strategies, and the needed steps to develop such a strategy in the Sudan, showcasing examples from the Arab region and beyond.
