Also on the subject of water management, ESCWA contributed to an online workshop on 24 February on the “Transboundary Hydro-Governance and the MENA Region”, held by the newly established Water Diplomacy Center at the Jordan University of Science and Technology in collaboration with the University of East Anglia.
ESCWA stressed that cooperation in the management of shared water resources was critical for water security in the region.
The 3-day workshop gathered 63 participants from various relevant local, regional and international organizations and touched on several topics, including the integrated management of shared water resources.
