Target Group:
          -         Trainers from the following Iraqi Public Institutions:
-          National Centre for Consultancy and Management Development (NCCMD)
-          Ministry of Human Rights
-          Board of Supreme Audit (BSA)
-          Commission on Public Integrity (CPI)
-          Ministry of inter-Parliamentary Affairs
-          Ministry of Municipalities and Public Works (MMPW) - Kurdistan
 
Expected output: 24 trainers trained on evaluation techniques
 
In partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) - Iraq and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) Governance Project Team, the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is organizing a seven-day training of trainers (TOT) workshop on Evaluation Techniques in Beirut, Lebanon from 10 till 16 June 2008.
 
Part of the "Capacity Building of the Iraqi Public Sector Management - NCCMD" project, the TOT aims at empowering trainers to address, through the utilization of modern evaluation techniques and tools, the increasing responsibilities of Iraqi public institutions in regards to the appraisal of public sector initiatives, with a particular emphasis on proposals and projects presented by donors and implemented in partnership with the Iraqi government and public institutions. 
 
It is expected that the TOT workshop will benefit 24 trainers from the National Centre for Consultancy and Management Development (NCCMD), the Ministry of Human Rights, the Board of Supreme Audit (BSA), the Commission on Public Integrity (CPI), the Ministry of inter-Parliamentary Affairs and the Ministry of Municipalities and Public Works (MMPW) - Kurdistan.
