Training of Trainers on Strategic Planning for Palestinian Officials

Location

Beirut, Lebanon

Since establishing a strategic plan is the basis of a successful endeavor, ESCWA intends to implement a practitioners' workshop, or training of trainers on Strategic Planning for 22 Palestine officials in Beirut from 7-13 November 2008.

This workshop is designed taking into consideration the specific circumstances in Palestine, and in order to assist the Palestinian Authority with public sector reform and institutional capacity building. This workshop would contribute to disseminating strategic planning techniques across the Palestinian public sector in order to enhance the overall performance and ensure a timely implementation of projects and initiatives.

The workshop will be implemented using an interactive participatory approach. Concepts and theories will be linked to specific practical situations and examples, which will encourage analytical and critical thinking among the trainees.
