The Statistical Committee is holding its fifteenth session in Beirut on 16 and 17 November 2022.
It will follow up on progress in statistical activities in member States and the ESCWA secretariat since its previous session, which was held online on 10 and 11 February 2021. The Committee will also discuss improved monitoring of progress in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; the evolving production and use of purchasing power parities; and geospatial information in support of statistics for the 2030 Agenda.
As part of its proceedings, the Committee will also hold a joint session with the ESCWA Committee on Technology for Development, on 15 and 16 November 2022, entitled “Data management modernization using new technologies”.
