Peer Review Meeting on the Integrated Social Policies Report II

Location

Beirut

Up to 20 leading regional and international social science and public policy researchers and practitioners were gathered in Beirut on Friday, 22 June 2007, to take part in a Peer Review Meeting (PRM). The meeting was set to assess and validate the concept and outline of a proposed flagship report on "Operationalizing Social Policy in the ESCWA Region". This report is the second major publication of ESCWA's Social Development Division on the subject and forms an integral part of the organization's effort to promote a holistic understanding and vision of social development in the region.

The PRM seeks to reach consensus on the overall direction of the Report by defining its research parameters, and reaching agreement on an annotated outline. For more information on the PRM
