In preparation for the review of progress in the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BDPfA) + 30 which will be held in 2024, ESCWA is documenting the progress of Arab countries across five critical areas identified in the 2019 Arab Declaration on Progress in the Implementation of the BDPfA 25 years later.
As such, ESCWA is organizing a workshop with the National Commission for Lebanese Women in the framework of a series of workshops on the use of the Index Simulator for Policymakers in the Arab Region (ISPAR).
The workshop aims to:
- Identify the strengths and weaknesses of Lebanon in relation to gender equality and women's empowerment;
- Learn about the rankings of Lebanon across more than 23 global indices, while comparing them with other countries;
- Develop a road map for legal and policy reforms.
