The joint UNDP-ESCWA Project entitled "Capacity Building for the Iraqi Public Sector Management," aims to support a new form of governance through institutional development and the adoption of modern information and communication technologies. To this end, the implementing agencies seek to build the capacities of the National Centre for Consultancy and Management Development (NCCMD) in Iraq, supporting its role as a focal point for the reform and modernization of the Iraqi public sector.
UNDP and ESCWA's Unit for Emerging Conflict and Related Issues (ECRI) are convening a Workshop on e-Gov Applications and Practices, 1 - 6 Dec 2008 in partnership with the Ministry of state for Administrative Development in Egypt (MSAD). Training topics are tailored taking into consideration the identified needs, requirements and priorities for the application of e-government within the NCCMD.
