Background
The Arab Integrated Water Resources Management Network (AWARENET) provides improved water and sanitation services, protects the environment by preserving precious water resources, and promotes socioeconomic uses of water by improving the implementation of integrated water resources management (IWRM) concepts in Arab countries.
AWARENET is an independent and impartial regional network of training and research institutes, non-governmental organizations, government institutions and experts in the field of water, engaged in developing and delivering capacity-building programmes and resource material on IWRM policies and practices for the Arab region.
