Committee on Liberalization of Foreign Trade and Economic Globalization

The Committee was established to identify priorities and concerns of Arab States on multilateral trade agreements and negotiations.

The Technical Committee on Liberalization of Foreign Trade and Economic Globalization in the Countries of the ESCWA Region was established in accordance with resolution 214 (XIX) of 7 May 1997, to identify the priorities and concerns of member States regarding multilateral trade agreements and negotiations, monitor developments in world trade negotiations and the creation of economic and trade blocs, and coordinate the positions of member States in that regard.

It held 12 sessions from 1997 to 2017, before it was split into two different committees in 2018.
